The Helping Hands of Manor Infant School

Who are 'The Helping Hands'?The Helping Hands are the parents and relatives of the children of the school so you may be a 'Helping Hand' already.

What do 'The Helping Hands' do?
'The Helping Hands' fundraise money to provide extras for the children, which would not otherwise be available within the school budget, to enhance their enjoyment of school and help their education; examples of these ‘extras’ are school trips, library books, outdoor improvements  as well as improved facilities for the school.

'The Helping Hands' also provide closer links between home, school and the community.

How do 'The Helping Hands' raise funds?

By holding varied events throughout the year, open to all and enjoyed by all. There will be regular newsletters which advertise forthcoming events, which appear on this page. Parents should look out for our flyers that come home in school book-bags advertising our events. The events 'The Helping Hands' will be looking to organise will range from the simple playground ‘cake sale’ to a Summer Fayre extravaganza.

Welcome aboard!  If you think that you could help in any aspect of ‘The Helping Hands’ please come to our meetings which are advertised in the school and on our newsletters, or speak to a 'Helping Hands' Committee Member.

How did we get our name and Logo?

Many thanks to all of the children who entered our competition to design a new logo and name for the Parents, teachers and friends association of our school.

We had 2 overall winners.

Tilli-May who had an excellent logo and name

Maddie who had an excellent slogan for the assocaition 'Helping Education Throughout The Year' (HETTY)

The Helping Hands of Manor Infant School thought that 'HETTY' would be a great name for their mascot and HETTY will be appearing very soon. I wonder which sea creature HETTY will be?
